Happy Friday Blog Readers,
I hope you all had a great week. Things are sure getting busy here at ecoShuttle! We have many weddings and wine tours already booked this summer, so if you’re thinking about booking an event, the sooner the better!
Anyways, here is something interesting: Greenpeace popped in to Apple’s headquarters to protest their use of coal energy at their data centers. The pod they placed there is pretty cool, and apparently the attention from Greenpeace is working. Apple has declared that it’s working on making all of its data centers run on renewable energy in the next few years.
On another note (a sad one); climate change will threaten the world’s supply of wine and bourbon, among other things. The wine supply will be threatened due to the shrinking of prime grape-growing territory while bourbon is threatened by the change of temperatures in Kentucky that would affect the barrel aging process that is so important to its flavor.
I hope you all have a great weekend. As for me, I’m off to Vegas. I’ll be back next week for a blog looking at what, if anything, Vegas is doing in the realm of sustainability!
